About the role
On behalf of our clients across banking, the public sector, and e-commerce (including a market leader in the region), we are looking for experienced Java Developers open to a hybrid role in Warsaw. We offer the opportunity to drive system development using modern technologies across the Java ecosystem (Java 17+, Spring Boot, microservices, Cloud, Docker/Kubernetes) within mature teams and divers projects.
Our expectations
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience as a Java Developer
- Solid hands-on experience with core technologies: Java 11–21, Spring, and Spring Boot
- Proficiency in data persistence: JPA, Hibernate, and Spring Data
- Hands-on experience developing RESTful and SOAP web services
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git)
- Solid unit and integration testing skills (JUnit, Spock, Mockito) alongside frontend testing experience (Jest, Cypress, TestNG, or similar)
- Good understanding of containerization (Docker)
- Experience with build automation tools: Maven or Gradle
- Hands-on frontend development experience using Angular and/or React
- Strong English communication skills (minimum B2 level)
- Readiness for hybrid work in Warsaw
Nice to have
Experience in at least one of the following areas (project-dependent)
- Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Container orchestration: Kubernetes
- Messaging & Event Streaming: Kafka or JMS
- Database & Caching technologies: NoSQL databases, Redis, Ignite, or Hazelcast
- Modern Web Development: JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, RxJS, state management (NgRx / Redux / Vuex), and build tooling (npm / Webpack / Angular CLI)
- Secondary Languages: Kotlin
- Application Security: OWASP Top 10, OAuth2, JWT, and Spring Security
- Quality & Operations: Performance optimization/testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Jenkins
Main responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable software solutions using Java and modern frameworks.
- Implement clean, well-tested REST/SOAP APIs and integrate frontend interfaces with backend services.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, stability, and high performance.
- Collaborate within cross-functional, Agile teams on system architecture, code reviews, and feature planning.
- Debug, optimize, and refactor existing applications while maintaining documentation and supporting deployment pipelines.
