Our expectations
- 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering, automation, or platform roles
- Experience across multiple cloud providers (AWS as primary, GCP or Azure as secondary)
- Strong hands-on experience in AWS (minimum 2 years) - focus on EC2, S3, IAM, Organizations, Lambda, CloudWatch
- Familiarity with Azure and GCP in the context of governance (understanding of Cloud Governance principles e.g. identity, access, policies, landing zones), basic usage, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Proficiency in Terraform and/or AWS CDK
- Familiar with Docker, container registries, and deployment process
- Basic experience with relational databases (e.g. Postgres)
- Exposure to FinOps concepts - awareness of usage-based pricing, cost management tools, and basic optimization
- Ability to collaborate on spend planning or basic cost-benefit analyses
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across teams
Nice to have
- Experience with at least one backend framework (e.g. Ruby on Rails) and front-end technologies (e.g. React, TypeScript)
Main responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation tools and workflows to support cloud infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management
- Collaborate on implementing and evolving cloud governance practices (identity and access, policies, landing zones)
- Support cloud account/subscription/project management and integration with internal platforms
- Maintain and enhance platform tooling (automation portals, GitHub workflows)
- Participate in cost optimization initiatives, including usage analytics and spend planning
- Partner with product teams to ensure cloud solutions align with best practices and security and compliance standards
