About the role
We are looking for an experienced, high-caliber Senior Business Analyst to support critical, enterprise-level initiatives for a major European Union agency based in Warsaw. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, driving business process modeling, requirements elicitation, system integration analysis, and organizational change management across complex domains like HR, finance, asset management, and grant agreements.
Work Model: Hybrid (5 days per month from the office in Warsaw)
Our expectations
- Min 8 years of IT work experience, 5 years as Business Analyst.
- At least 3 years of experience as a BA of a large system working with a development team with more than 10 developers.
- Has gone at least 1 time through the complete lifecycle of the software solution.
- At least 2 certifications among: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent, Certified UML Professional certificate at foundation level or BPM 2 fundamental level or equivalent, or equivalent certifications recognized internationally.
- Solid previous experience in business analysis activities for enterprise information systems supporting human resource and asset management, financial processes and grant agreements management.
- Previous experience in business analysis in projects related to integrations between systems and data platforms.
- Knowledge in business processes modelling using BPMN notation, requirements/user stories elicitation and analysis.
- Knows analysis/modelling notations like UML (capability diagram, activity diagram, state diagram, logical data model etc.).
- Is proficient in using modelling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect or others.
- Demonstrated familiarity with SQL and data analysis techniques.
- Holds ability to create and maintain analytical and project documentation effectively.
- Presents excellent analytical, communication, and problem solving skills.
- English language proficiency at C1 level (certificate welcome).
Main responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business needs, user stories, and requirements specifications.
- Model business processes, capabilities, roles, and data structures using BPMN and UML notations.
- Support business experts and Product Owners throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
- Analyze existing systems, evaluate integration options, and support business cases and feasibility studies.
- Design, validate, and quantitatively analyze processes (cost-benefit and what-if analyses) for continuous improvement.
- Support organizational change management, staff coaching, performance monitoring, and transition roadmaps.
