Our expectations
- 5+ years of QA experience, preferably with a focus on BI and data testing,
- Strong knowledge and experience with SQL and Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouses),
- Proficiency in Excel for data validation, calculations, and reporting comparisons,
- Experience writing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for BI projects,
- Familiarity with Tableau (or other BI visualization tools such as Power BI, Qlik) – highly preferable,
- Proven ability to validate data accuracy, transformations, and report consistency across systems,
- Strong analytical skills and creative thinking to design effective test approaches and identify edge cases,
- Experience collaborating with developers, BI engineers, and product managers to ensure data quality and reporting accuracy,
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly document issues and test results,
- A good command of English (min. B2 level),
- Ready to work in a hybrid workplace model - min. 3 days from the office (Lublin).
Main responsibilities
- In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of BI reports and dashboards that drive business-critical decisions. You will collaborate closely with BI developers, data engineers, and product managers to validate data integrity, verify report functionality, and ensure the reliability of insights delivered to stakeholders,
- This position is ideal for a detail-oriented QA professional with strong database skills, hands-on BI testing experience, and the ability to think creatively about testing complex data flows,
- Review and understand BI requirements to ensure full coverage in test design,
- Participate in requirement and design discussions to provide QA perspective,
- Write and execute comprehensive test plans in Testmo,
- Perform manual testing of BI solutions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and usability,
- Write and run complex SQL/Snowflake queries to validate report data against database sources,
- Verify data transformations, aggregations, and business logic across systems,
- Use Excel for data comparison, calculations, and validation of BI report outputs,
- Document test processes, findings, and guidelines in Confluence,
- Log and track bugs in Jira, ensuring clear descriptions, steps to reproduce, and expected results,
- Validate reports, filters, and visualizations in Tableau (or other BI tools),
- Ensure correct functionality of dashboards, including layout, formatting, and interactivity,
- Apply creative thinking to design test approaches that cover edge cases and data anomalies,
- Ensure that BI reporting delivers accurate, actionable insights to the business.
